Today, when the refugee crisis has worsened, and every day, scores of people are forced to flee their homes due to violence and global conflict, influential figures like Ayat Abuzande take proactive steps to assist people. Through running a non-profit organization entitled Team Humanity USA, Ayat Abuzande believes that great accomplishments start with a series of small ones brought together. In these circumstances, she strives to lead the organization to success, while continuing to provide strong programs around the world focused on helping as many vulnerable people as possible.
Ayat began her humanitarian journey in 2014 when she volunteered at Zaatari Refugee Camp, which serves Syrian refugees. Later in 2019, she started Team Humanity USA, which has provided emergency relief in countries including Ukraine, Afghanistan, and Lebanon.
Ayat Abuzande connected with many families and witnessed the devastation the war had brought to numerous people and made relentless efforts to help them overcome the situation. Being devastated to see many families in such situations made her promise to not let such issues go unnoticed or unaddressed and to assist the people till the end.
In establishing and operating Team Humanity USA, Ayat Abuzande is committed to providing humanitarian and educational assistance to vulnerable communities in the US and abroad by responding to major emergencies, fighting disease and poverty, and nurturing and promoting human welfare. The organization’s daily operations revolve around assisting projects worldwide with emergency assistance.
As a tireless worker, she contributes to outreach to vulnerable communities in the US and abroad by responding to emergencies, combating disease and poverty, and supporting and promoting human welfare. Additionally, Team Humanity’s offerings include providing safe drinking water to communities in Africa; helping those in need during a major crisis in Lebanon; and providing winter essentials like coats, hats, gloves, and more to children living in refugee camps. The organization is fully committed to assisting people and seeing smiles on their faces throughout the arduous journey.
During the past few years, refugees have also experienced difficulty receiving help because of a lack of financial resources, fear of being perceived as burdens, and a misunderstanding of what refugee needs are. While establishing the non-profit organization, Ayat Abuzande made sure to understand the past struggles of refugees and worked hard towards saving people and instilling hope and happiness in the lives of people suffering and fleeing war.
Upon witnessing the extreme sufferings of thousands of people, Ayat Abuzande vowed to spend the rest of her life making a difference in the lives of children and families fleeing conflict and living in poverty all over the world by providing them with humanitarian services.
Due to Ayat Abuzande’s unflagging efforts, she has been nominated for multiple awards, including Anthem Awards Gold and Anthem Awards Silver for humanitarian product and service leadership. Every year, she plans to reach more communities through her organization in a variety of ways and in a variety of countries around the globe.
On her part, Ayat is determined to touch even more lives in the future by extending help to numerous suffering people around her. Team Humanitarian USA is her dream to lead and grow, providing support and helping as many vulnerable people as possible. “It’s heartbreaking to see the world being torn apart by conflict,” says Ayat Abuznade, a humanitarian and founder of Team Humanity USA non-profit. “There are so many refugees who are left homeless and starving.”
Among the many things she strives to accomplish at her non-profit organization, Ayat Abuzande aims to make the world better for new generations by becoming the change she wants to see in the world.
