The onset of adult acne comes as a surprise to most people. You get up one day, and suddenly your skin doesn’t look as clear and smooth as it did in the past, causing a significant blow to your self-esteem and self-confidence. While acne is a prevalent skin condition that can happen to people at any age, most don’t realize that adult acne is a real problem.

For one holistic nutritionist, the sudden development of cystic acne in her mid-twenties came as a surprise. Kayleigh Christina, the co-founder of CLEARSTEM Skincare, prioritizes wellness and encourages others to do the same to achieve healthy, clear skin. However, it wasn’t always that simple for her. “When I was in my mid-twenties, I started to suffer from various health issues, including celiac disease and leaky gut. Not only were these health issues causing problems for me, but now I was suddenly dealing with cystic acne as an adult. It wasn’t a good time in my life. So first, I started focusing on healing from the inside out by getting my health issues under control. Then, I dived deep into research about acne and its causes, which allowed me to meet my current business partner while sharing our vast knowledge,” shared Kayleigh Christina. “While I wasn’t grateful for the struggles at the time, I know that everything happens for a reason. My struggles with cystic acne in adulthood led to me developing the CLEARSTEM skincare line with my business partner. The line tackles both acne and aging simultaneously.”

The CLEARSTEM line is in a league of its own compared to other acne-fighting products on the market because of its superior ingredients and the knowledge provided to consumers on hormones, good nutrition, supplements, and wellness. “While the CLEARSTEM line works wonderfully to heal skin, it’s also important for acne sufferers to learn how to prioritize wellness. Not only do people need to use non-toxic products on their skin that relieve irritation and promote healing, but they also need to work on overall wellness to look and feel better,” said Kayleigh Christina. “The company’s goal is to help people achieve healthier skin that boosts their confidence while making sure they’re aware of the steps they should take to fight acne and improve overall wellness. Unfortunately, with such a lack of valuable information on skincare and wellness available to the public, it’s common for misinformation to spread with ease. We want to put a stop to the spread of misinformation and improve consumer knowledge on skin health and wellness.”

Kayleigh Christina believes that using the right skincare system and making a few small changes in your daily routine can make all the difference. Some of these small changes include drinking more water, getting more sleep at night, and putting your mental health first. “When you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good, you look good,” shared Christina.
